Danish Technical University (DTU) and MT Højgaard won the Special Distinction in the Building Category award at the buildingSMART International Awards 2019.
This year, the focus of the buildingSMART International Awards was on how their construction partners integrate openBIM into their projects.
On the construction of a 10,000 m² research building known as “DTU B310,” DTU and MT Højgaard stood out for their paperless and purely digital construction process. This was done with the help of Dalux Handover, which allowed for the optimization of finances, quality, and time.
Dalux Handover was used for the first time ever in beta – and with great success. Especially as the announcement that the D&V was ready from the contractor (MT Højgaard) took place three months before the physical delivery business. The success means that we intend to use the tool for other DTU projects.

MT Højgaard and DTU won the well-deserved Building SMART award for their completed digital project, where Dalux delivery was an important part. I welcome the new projects that reiterate the success and look forward to putting even more momentum into the process.
