Ferrovial Chile is using Dalux in the construction of the Edificio Vicuña Mackenna 20 for Universidad de Chile. The building will host the Institute of Public Affairs, the Center for Cultural Artistic Extension, the Institute of International Studies, as well as offices and rooms of the Central Services of the University of Chile.
The 27.300 m2 project includes a building with 8 floors and 5 basement levels. Among these are a concert hall, a dance hall, classrooms, a library, and offices.
According to Ferrovial Chile, Dalux is the best tool in terms of supporting BIM coordination. The ability to make the 3D BIM models accessible to all individuals involved in the project paired with intuitiveness and user-friendliness of Dalux has been a significant advantage to Ferrovial in the VM20 project. By using Dalux, Ferrovial has also become a pioneer with regards to implementing BIM methodology on construction sites holistically.
